PARENTAL GUIDES
Parental Responsibilities
To help ensure we foster a good spirit in our own children and in the competing teams, we would like parents to read and abide by these guidelines.
- Respect and support their own child
- Respect and support other players at their club
- Respect and support club officials
- Respect and support their club managers / coaches
- Respect and support other parents and opposition spectators.
- Support that is positive and encouraging towards all of the children, not just their own.
- Parents applauding and appreciating the opposition as well as your own team
- Avoid coaching the players during the game - leave it to the coach
- Avoiding shouting and screaming
- Respecting the referee's decision - no matter how bad
- Respect all of the players not just the best and most talented
- Provide encouragement to everyone to participate in soccer
- Share the load, volunteer for transport duties, equipment manager, training helper, laundry refreshments, fund raising etc
- Discuss their child's performance - good and bad in private
- Ensure your child turns up on time to training and matches
- Most of all have fun watching your child play.
